During these last few years Eugene Lee Yang was apart of a YouTube group called "The Try Guys," roughly about 3 to 4 guys in each video trying different things out. For example, cooking thanksgiving dinner in 60 minutes, auditioning for broadway, stand up comedy etc. Throughout those years Eugene was fighting with sexuality, as a man its hard to be accepted by others and family members and he didn't feel safe coming out to the world. On July 15th, 2019 the Try Guys posted Eugene coming out video on their page, the video and production was amazing it was viewed as a well rounded short film with a lot of emotions and expressions. In the beginning of the video we see Eugene with his family as a young man wearing man like "Solid" colors, then we transition him being more fascinated to women products such as lipsticks and women posture. In the background of that scene of him finding himself we notice his "Father" in the back hard drinking and disapproving his son actions by slapping the lipstick out of his hand and hitting him. We transition to Eugene questioning his sexuality which leads him to church and for him to hide his true sexuality leading up to his final answer/calling. This whole YouTube video follows his life and how he finally felt comfortable to come out to the world as a gay man, throughout the video we see Eugene be more engaged when he's dancing with men instead of women. Each scene the color scheme, clothes and the theme becomes more of a women perceptive, a lot of bring colors, dresses and more. The last few scenes was very powerful, as a man who likes the same sex it's hard to express that to anyone because there's so much hate groups out there just to cause harm which can include your family. We saw a bunch of heterosexual males jump Eugene because he was gay and didn't like women in that way, we transition into his family and only his brother and mom accept him for who he is and tries to help but his father and sister are fighting with them because of his sexuality. We get to the last scene of him finally embracing his sexuality and not giving any mind to the haters or people who made him feel uncomfortable about his sexuality.
